"There! Another plane!"


Yesterday and today there was an air show at the nearby airport Ganderkesee,
around 20 mi W of Bremen.
After I saw a picture of the historic Blériot XI (flown by Swedish pilot Mikael Carlson) in the local newspaper, I thought it might a nice idea to go there. We checked if Thore and his father would like that idea too and were lucky...

So we four men (on the picture: Thore, Dirk and Leonard) went to the airfield and saw stunning aerobatic acts




(one glider plane flying aerobatics was the coolest...), an Antonow 2, an "Extra 300" and a couple of other really beautiful planes. And Leonard shouted every other minute: "There! Another plane!"

The Blériot was incredible to see! The pilot flew the thing across the field and the plane looked extremely sensitive to every movement on the yoke / stick. Fragile, light and beautiful at the same time.

Three days Summer in Germany


85 Degrees and 62% humidity! For three days the weather report predicted summer temperatures in Bremen. So here we are!
Breakfast on our new terrace with our friends Korena, Mustafa, Bernd and Matea, hanging out and enjoying to make holiday plans.

A trip to Norway

Last weekend we took a trip to our friends Tove and Tore and their kids Marcus and Thomas. We had a marvelous time in Norway. Except for Petra none of us were ever in Norway before and we were fascinated by the beauty of the country and the great life style the Norwegians have.

Unauthorized opening of our Terrace

Today Dirk and Harald came to see Laurens and Leonard. Weather wasn't too bad so we could sit outside on our terrace which is being built since four month (!) - a never ending story it seems.

But still, even though the floor isn't totally done, we were able to have our coffee and wine outside in the sun on our new 34 m2 (=340 sft.) terrace. A nice feeling:
