Super Connie

For the airplane aficionados: There is the "Fete du Lac d'Annecy" today and the French organized a fly-by by a couple of airplanes. Suddenly I saw the typical three-winged tail of a Super Constellation at the sky, relatively low at perhaps 5000 ft. The sound of the engines very special, and beautiful to look at!

Haute Savoie



What a beautiful region in France! Close to Geneva in Switzerland, basically just across the border is "Haute Savoie". A beautiful landscape which reminds a little on Somerset in England or the mellow hills in Connecticut.

And we meet our good friends Christian and Paul here for Christian's 50th birthday celebration at his parent's house in Seynod, close to Annecy.

Trip to France



An experiment: can we make 1100 km with two kids without getting stressed out? Everything looked very fine in the beginning.. At km 370 first stop and diaper change. The BMW we rented at Enterprise car rentals is in good shape. The perfect car for a long trip with two kids: not too small and not consuming too much gas, a BMW series 1.
