Yesterday we went shopping to get some “red meat”, because Petra is a little low with her iron values and we heard “red meat” would help.
So we went to the super market around the corner and ordered at the butcher’s counter 2 filet steaks. When the sales girl said “€ 21 please”, we look at one another and reply: “What? €21 for two pieces of meat?” That’s roughly 45 Marks or $25. Totally out of whack.
She explains to us, that meat got more and more expensive in the last time and that the price of €37 for a kilo (= $21.65 for one pound) would be moderate.
We don’t think so. This is sick!
